Christmas in Dubai

We spent our first Christmas in Dubai with April's family.  Jeanne, Richard, Ryan and his girlfriend (now fiancé) Suzi arrived in Dubai around midnight on Christmas Eve.  April was happy to see that they had all survived the 17 hours of flying & a 5 hour stop over in the Frankfurt airport on the busiest day of the year. We let them relax the first day and then after that it was go, go, go!

Geofrey & Innocent (from Uganda) joined us for Christmas morning

Allison enjoyed unwrapping & playing with her new toys

All ready for his desert experience...

Nicholas trying to cook the 'perfect' turkey - it tasted as good as it looked!

We spent Boxing Day walking around the Marina area and at the beach.  Allison discovered bugles, it was the cleanest she has ever been at the beach, she sat on her towel and ate snacks the whole time!

We took a desert safari, which includes dune bashing, dinner, camel riding, sand surfing, and henna tattoos.

A late night at Global Village - full of merchants from different countries selling dates, nuts, spices, traditional clothing, scarves, jewelry, etc...
